BRISTOW – Eileen Ann McGuire, 59, of Bristow, Va. passed away peacefully Nov. 25, 2008 after a short illness.
Born July 24, 1949 in Toledo, Ohio, and raised in Arlington, she was the daughter of Cpt. Robert Kimener USN (Ret) and Mary Higgins Kimener. She was married to Michael Davidson McGuire, who preceded her to their reward.
Mrs. McGuire was actively involved with St. Benedict’s Monastery, Linton Hall School and other ministries of the Benedictine Sisters’ of Bristow.
Eileen is survived by her four sons, Douglas “Trip” O’Dell and his wife Katie of San Jose, Calif.; Robert O’Dell of Parkesburg, Pa.; Ryan McGuire of Lexington, Kent; Daniel McGuire of Houston, Texas; her mother Mary; seven sisters, Susan, Martha, Debora, Ann, Bridget, Kate; five brothers, Michael, Peter, John, Thomas, Patrick; and one granddaughter, Maeve Elizabeth O’Dell of San Jose, Calif.
All services will take place at Saint Benedict’s Monastery, 9535 Linton Hall Road, Bristow, Virginia. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. on Monday with a Vigil Service being held Monday evening at 7 p.m. The funeral will be celebrated on Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. Burial will take place privately, at a later date in Number Four, New York. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to Hospice of Wake County North Carolina, 1300 St. Mary's Street, 4th Floor Raleigh, NC 27605, or to Saint Benedict’s Monastery, 9535 Linton Hall Road, Bristow, Virginia.
