Milton Cruikshank


NORTH PITCHER – Milton A. Cruikshank, 72, of North Pitcher, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2008.
Milt was born in Hamilton, on May 24, 1936, a son of the late Charles H. and Margaret Hallock Cruikshank.  He was a jack-of-all-trades and worked several jobs throughout his life, including logging, construction, and cattle hauling.  After his retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his family, writing poetry, and coaching tee-ball.  He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be dearly missed by his family.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Betty Brown Cruikshank, of North Pitcher; and his children, Cindy (Clarence A., Sr.) Brown of North Pitcher, Brenda L. (Louis, Jr.) Brown of North Pitcher, Milton A. (Lisa) Cruikshank, II of South Plymouth, Marcus A. (Shannon) Cruikshank of Otselic, Amy (Steve) Amos of Otselic, and Amanda Cruikshank of North Pitcher.  He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Clarence Brown, Jr., Lynn Haitian, Betty Marsh, Lori Devine, Michael Brown, Heather Cruikshank, Stephen Amos, Jr., Mersades Cruikshank, and Chelsea Amos; his great-grandchildren, LeAnne Haitian, Justin Marsh, Kyle Haitian, Hailey Clemens, Jamie Marsh, Morgan Hyer, Alyssa Devine, and Xavier Devine; brothers, Charles and Edward; sister, Sybil; sister-in-law, Nancy Cruikshank; brother-in-law, Mervin Predmore; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was predeceased by a granddaughter, Bobbie Jo Brown, and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday at the K.L. Sharp Funeral Home, Cincinnatus, with Fred M.S. Downs officiating. Burial will be in North Pitcher Cemetery.  The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:30 p.m.  Personal condolences may be sent by visiting www.klsharpfuneralhome.com.
