Frederick Muller


FULTONVILLE – Frederick “Snoopy” G. Muller, 62, of Borden Road, Fultonville, passed away Friday morning, Aug. 18, 2006 at his home with his loving family at his side.
Born May 6, 1944 in Norwich, he was the son of the late Frank Lewis and Marybell Nancy Hitchner Muller. He attended Hamilton High School and moved from Earlville to Fultonville in 1983.
Fred was a U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War and served at the rank of Staff Sergeant.
He was employed as a truck driver (C.B. name Snoopy) and mechanic for Boston-Buffalo Express in Syracuse; Keymark in Fonda; Greene Trucking in Amsterdam and later was self employed as a truck driver until retiring in 2001 due to ill health.
Fred was a member of the American Legion in Sherburne; former member of the Hubbardsville Volunteer Fire Department and the Fonda Volunteer Fire Department.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and woodworking.
On June 19, 1982, her married the former Johna Mykel.
Besides his wife, survivors include eight sons, Timothy Meier of Fultonville, Joseph Battisti and friend Malissa of Fonda, Anthony Gabriel Jr. and his wife Patricia of Elbridge, Benjiman M. Muller of Fultonville, Rich Squires and his wife Jackie of Sherburne, Frederick Muller II and his friend Debbie of Smyrna, Britt Watson and his wife Tammy of Earlville and Timothy Battisti and his wife Betty of Rockwood; four daughters, Jolene Hornbeck and her husband Mike of Fultonville, Christianne McGuinness and her friend Tyler of Fultonville, Shirley Ann Dingman and her friend Dave of Johnstown and Diantha of Fultonville; eight sisters, Mabel Stagaman of Florida, Drusilla Losee of Sherburne, Rosetta Jaquay of Sherburne, Lillian Morgan of Lebanon, Edna Johnson and her husband Franklin of Earlville, Geneva Schultz and her husband Bob of Earlville, Mildred Doing and her husband Lynn of Va., and Laurel Jenne and her husband Dave of Sherburne; 30 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Fred was predeceased by two brothers, George Mueller and Frank Muller; and a sister, Patricia Miller.
A funeral service with military honors were held on Monday at 2 p.m. at the Jackson & Betz Funeral Home, 15 Main St., Fultonville, with the Rev. R.W. William officiating. Calling hours were held Monday two hours prior, from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Cremation has taken place at the Vale Crematory in Schenectady. Committal services will be held Saturday, Aug. 26, at noon at the Poolville Rural Cemetery, Poolville.
