Clinton Dunham


BUTTERNUTS – Clinton Rex Dunham, 78, of Butternuts, passed away at his home on Sunday, Oct. 19, 2008.
He was born in the town of Butternuts on July 22, 1930, the son of Harold A. Dunham and Flichia (Jones) Dunham. He graduated from Gilbertsville Central School (Class of 1949). He married Patricia White on Aug. 8, 1950.
He served our country in the United States Army During the Korean War and was stationed in Germany.  He was a member of the American Legion Post # 1339 of Gilbertsville and VFW Post 7914 of Sidney. He was also a past member and President of the Gilbertsville Rod & Gun Club.
He was a well known third generation masonry contractor in Chenango and Otsego counties During his working years he had worked with Perkins construction, Mark Dunham Construction, was a partner in Dunmor Construction, and later Clint Dunham Construction and most recently Dunham & Son Construction.
He is survived by his wife Patricia; a daughter Rebecca Dunham Delaubell and husband Mark Muniz of Oneida; a son, Jeff A. Dunham and wife Marna of Gilbertsville; a grandson Andrew Delaubell of Ithaca; a granddaughter, Phylicia Dunham of Manchester, N.H.; and a niece Nancy Aubrey of Norwich.
Clint was predeceased by his sister, Wanda (Dunham) Aubrey Welch and a granddaughter Carolee Ames Dunham. There will be no calling hours and services will be private, at the convenience of the family. Those who wish may send condolences to the family at www.johnstonfh.com.
Friends are asked to consider donations to the Morris Rotary Club (Exchange Student Program) P.O. Box 414, Morris, NY 13808 in memory of Carolee Dunham. Funeral arrangements are by the Johnston Funeral Home of Morris.
