Herbert Llewellyn


SHERBURNE – Herbert E. Llewellyn, 65, of Church Hill Rd., passed away Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2008 at M.I. Bassett Hospital, Cooperstown.
He was born May 24, 1943 in North Norwich, and received his education in Sherburne schools. On Sept. 2, 1961, Herb married Patricia Ann Izard in Sherburne. A life long Sherburne resident, he was a maintenance supervisor for Lok-N-Logs for over 25 years.  He had previously been a self-employed dairy farmer and general contractor. Herb loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping at the Lebanon Reservoir Campground.
Surviving are his wife, Pat; his children, Timothy and Charleen Llewellyn, Kelly and James Winner, Kristine and Patrick Brunschmid, Jeffrey and Dee Llewellyn, all of Sherburne; two sisters, Martha Llewellyn; Elizabeth “Susie” and Howard Boise of Sherburne; four brothers, Robert Llewellyn of Sherburne; David and Jamie Llewellyn of Norwich; Richard Llewellyn and his companion, Alberta Strain of Plymouth; and Leon Llewellyn and his companion; nine grandchildren, Chad, Matt, Jessica, Cassandra, Billi, Wheeler, Alexis, Debbie and Heather; two great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Cadence; many nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws. He was predeceased by his parents, and his grandparents, Earl and Martha Llewellyn of Sherburne.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne.
Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Friday from 6-9 p.m.
