Frances Hazard


NEW BERLIN – A memorial service for Frances Hazard, who passed away June 14, 2008, will be held Saturday at the Dakin Funeral Home 17 N Main Street, New Berlin.
 Visiting hours will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a memorial service at 1 p.m., followed by a prayer at the family cemetery, Fairview Cemetery, ending with a honoring  of  Frances and Raymond’s life at the Masonic Temple, all located in New Berlin. 
 Frances Hazard (Galloupe) passed away on June 14, at the age of 92.  Prior to her move to Tucson, Ariz., Frances and Raymond Hazard (Hap) lived in the King Settlement area since 1947. Frances retired from the Guernsey Memorial Library.  After several trips to Tucson, they retired there in 1980.  
Frances will be remembered for how she treated others, with respect, and kindness. Everyone who met Frances enjoyed being around her. She showed inner strengths during life’s trying times.
Frances was preceded by her loving husband Raymond E. Hazard, of 45 years, who passed away May of 1984, and first son, Raymond G. Hazard (Jerry) of Smyrna.
Frances is survived by her sister, Loretta Chandler, of Albany; daughter, Arlene Svenson of California; son James Hazard of Arizona. Seven grandchildren: Teresa Hazard, Joe Hazard, Wendy Miller, Jeremy Hazard, Christie Hanyon all of the Norwich, area, Kellie Jung of Nevada, and Eric Svenson of Arizona.
In lieu of flowers, her family asks that donations be made to your favorite charity in her name.
