Robert Fuller


PITTSFIELD – Robert LeGrand Fuller, 77, of Pittsfield, passed away on Aug. 16, 2006 in New Berlin.
Robert was born June 25, 1929, a son of Mark Jr. & Mabel (Brownell) Fuller. On Sept. 29, 1950, he married Caroline Miller in New Berlin. She predeceased him on Feb. 25, 1989.
Bob spent his childhood years in the New Berlin area. He worked as a mechanic with his brother Mark at Fullers Service Station for many years. He was also employed by Kraft Foods as a cheese maker and at Drop Forge in Utica as a machinist. In his spare time, Bob enjoyed working with the Pittsfield Historical Society on the Pittsfield School House restoration project.
He is survived by his children, Ruth Ellen Kline of Garden City, Mo., Linda Shrenkel of Olive Branch, Miss. and Barbara Brockway and husband Gary of Savona; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren along with his fiancee’ Frances Wilcox.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Fred and Mark Fuller and two sisters, Ruth Paxon and Alice Jumper.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Seaman Cemetery, Savona. Calling hours will be on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Dakin Funeral Home, New Berlin.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Pittsfield Historical Society c/o Robin Beckwith, County Route 18, New Berlin, NY 13411 or the Pittsfield Volunteer Fire Department, 176 State Route 80, New Berlin, NY 13411.
