SIDNEY – Nancy Liberatore of 9 Concord St., Sidney, passed away peacefully Monday morning, Oct. 6, 2008 in Binghamton General Hospital, Binghamton. 
She was born Feb. 12, 1922 in Norwich, the daughter of the late Giacomo and Rose Paino Panaro. At the early age of 2, Nancy’s mother died and she was later raised by her step-mother Catherine Panaro.
She attended the Norwich Schools and graduated from the La Pontos School of Beauty, Syracuse. On July 28, 1951 she married Bart J. Liberatore Sr .in Norwich.  He predeceased her on Sept. 4, 2006. Nancy owned and operated Nancy’s Beauty Shop in Sidney, New York for over 40 years.  She retired in 1987.
She was along time member of the Sacred Heart of Sidney and the rosary society of the church.
She is survived by: three sons, Bart Liberatore Jr. and his wife Dayle of Sidney, Joseph Liberatore and his partner Jim Burtless of Syracuse and Daniel Liberatore and his partner David Perry of Stoddard, New Hampshire; a daughter-in-law, Nancy Liberatore of Syracuse; three grandchildren: Kristen Hosner and her husband Jeffrey, Catherine and Ryan Liberatore and great-grandson Braedon Hosner.
Friends and family are invited to call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel 21 Main Street, Sidney. 
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Thursday from the Sacred Heart Church, 15 Liberty Street, Sidney with the Rev.Fr. Gordon Polenz pastor officiating. Burial will follow in the Prospect Hill Cemetery, Sidney.
