Beverly Stone


WINSTON, Ga. – Mrs. Beverly Ann Crandall Stone, 66, of Winston, Georgia passed away Thursday, Oct. 2, 2008 at Wellstar Tranquility Hospice in Austell, Georgia.
She was born Dec. 7, 1941, in Booneville, New York the daughter of late Mr. Leon Clinton Crandall and the late Mrs. Ethel LaQuay Crandall.  Mrs. Stone was a member of Ephesus Baptist Church and was involved in Jems and Jewels, Anna Fellowship, Warren Sunday School Class, Saints Alive, and Remember When. She was a homemaker and devoted herself to her beloved family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Wendell “Larry” Stone; her brothers, Mike Crandall and Danny Crandall and half sister, Jessie Davenport.
Survivors include her children and their spouses, Diana Lynn Stone of Villa Rica, Richard Wendell and Anita Stone of Winston, John Clinton Stone of Rock Spring, Ga., Penny Louise and Tim Perkins of Villa Rica, and Gloria Jean and Mike Mahaffey of Dallas; grandchildren, Tiffany Morris and her husband, Rob of Villa Rica, T.J. Perkins of Villa Rica, Drew Stone of Winston, Krista Stone of Winston, CAS Stone of Rock Springs, Brandon Stone of Rock Spring, Jake Mahaffey of Dallas, Kyle Mahaffey of Dallas, Casey Mahaffey of Dallas, and Alex Stone of Winston; 6 great-grandchildren, Summer Morris, Amber Morris, Hailey Morris, Emily Morris, Destiny Perkins and Kaleb Perkins; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Cork Crandall of Tennessee, Dick and Dorothy Crandall of Tennessee, Butch and Debbie Crandall of New York, Buster and Donna Crandall of New York; her sisters, Sharon Crandall of New York, Emily Testa of New York and Vickie Hussmann of Ohio; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Freddy Stone and his wife Linda of New York and Fred Gray of New York; Glory Ann DuBois and her husband, Don, Mamie Stone and Nancy Crandall all of New York; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services were conducted on Saturday from Ephesus Baptist Church in Winston with Dr. Billy Godwin and Rev. Billy Jordan officiating. The family received friends at Jones-Wynn Funeral Home in Douglasville, Friday and Saturday.
