Thomas Moore


NORWICH – Thomas H. Moore, longtime Norwich resident, passed away Aug. 1, 2006 in Tallahassee, Fla., where he had resided for the past 26 years. He was 73.
Tom was born in Norwich on Aug. 25, 1932, the son of the late Harold and Roxie Moore.
He attended Norwich schools and was then called upon to serve his country during the Korean War. He was well-known for his carpentry skills as well as woodworking, sign painting and auto mechanics.
Tom is survived by his wife of 27 years, Gladys of Tallahassee; three children and their spouses, James Moore and wife Sandy, Gary Moore and wife Jamie, and Debra Cooper and husband Brian, all of Norwich; two stepchildren, Susan Livingston and Ron Miles Jr. of Tallahassee; a sister and her spouse, Janet Franklin and husband Elbridge of Norwich; and a brother, Albert Moore of Norwich, Also surviving are nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial services for Tom were held Aug. 8 in Tallahassee, with Rev. Doug Mills officiating.
Arrangements were by Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home of Tallahassee.
