Ellis Jordan


OXFORD – Ellis Paul Jordan, 86, of South Oxford, passed away unexpectedly on Sept. 11, 2008 at his home. 
He was born on May 22, 1922 in Clifton, N.J., the youngest son of the late John A. and Rhoda (Robinson) Jordan. In 1949, he married the former Caroline K. Pustus, who survives.
Besides his wife, Caroline, he is survived by his children, John and Cindy Jordan of Oxford, and Carol and Michael Williams of Oxford; his grandchildren, John Jay Jordan, Joshua Paul Jordan, Elise M. Williams, Rex R. Williams, Craig L. Williams, Jacob K. Williams, Gabriella A. Williams, Samara J. Williams and Echo R. Williams. He was predeceased by his infant brother, John and his other brothers and sisters, James, Alice, Myrtle, Charles, Andrew, Laura, Edna and Marian.
He worked for 25 years at Curtis-Wright Corporation in Caldwell, N.J. in the Propeller Division. He then operated a dairy farm in Coventry for many years prior to moving to South Oxford. He was a member of Mountain View Lodge #252 F&AM in Mountain View, Pa. He was a commissioner of the Brisben Fire District. He enjoyed gardening and landscaping. 
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Behe Funeral Home, 21 Main St., Oxford. Members of Oxford Lodge will conduct a Masonic Service at the Funeral Home prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow in Warn Ten Broeck Cemetery.
