Beatrice Baker


EARLVILLE – Beatrice Excell Baker, 84, of East Main St., passed away Thursday, Aug. 10, 2006 at her home.
Born Nov. 25, 1921 in South Hamilton, she was a daughter of Raymond and Martha Stone Excell and received her education in Earlville schools. On October 25, 1957 she was united in marriage to LeRoy Baker in Earlville. He predeceased her on Dec. 7, 1988. Mrs. Baker was a life-long Earlville resident who had worked at the Earlville Paper Box Company for over 60 years until her retirement in 2002. She will be remembered for her caring and compassion as well as her dedication to her family and home. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, cooking and tending her plants and flowers.
Surviving are her children, William D. and Becky Excell; Ronald Excell, Martha and Darwin Wilson, all of Earlville; a sister, Bernice Holt of Hamilton; her grandchildren, William M. and Linda Excell of Earlville; Terry Excell of Naples, Fla.; Rhonda Lynn of Tully; Jeffrey and Kelli Excell of Cicero; Chet Wilson of Earlville; Elizabeth and Paul Larmon of Earlville; her great-grandchildren, Andrew Kemp of Norwich; Michelle Kemp of Earlville; Ashley Excell of Smyrna; Joseph Excell of Naples, Fla.; Shelby Excell of Sherburne; Amber Excell of Earlville; Juliette Larmon of Earlville; Tiffany Webb of St. Petersburg, Fla.; Tracey Fowler of Port Allegheny, Pa.; Heather McEligot of St. Petersburg, Fla.; Tabatha McCarthy of Smyrna; 2 great-great grandchildren, Alec Hartwell of Mt. Upton and Alyssa Bradley of Norwich. She was predeceased by a sister, Beverly Marcellus.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 3 Preston St., Earlville, followed by interment in the Graham Cemetery, Hubbardsville.
Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
