David Killian


McDONOUGH – David A Killian, 46, of McDonough, passed away Sunday evening, Aug. 3, 2008 in the Chenango Memorial Hospital, following a long, hard, courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Detroit, Michigan, in January of 1962, Dave was the son of Gerald and Judith (Gravell) Killian. He grew up in Michigan and continued to live there until 1982 when he relocated to Texas. Dave lived in New York State for the past 17 years, eventually making his home in McDonough. A personable and likable individual, Dave was a people person who found his niche in life when he went to work as a car salesman for Smith Ford. He had worked there for 3-4 years prior to his last illness.
On March 17, 1989, Dave married Tawna Wilcox Killian, who survives. He is also survived by his daughter, Tara Killian and her fiancé, Joseph Mills, of Willett; his parents, Gerald and Judith Killian of Willis, Texas; his brother, Don Killian and wife Michelle of Montgomery, Texas; and his sister, DeeAnn Taylor of Goldthwaite, Texas. Also surviving are his paternal aunt and uncle, Judy and Denny McLeod of Michigan; maternal aunt and uncle Sally and Mario Spalletti of Ft. Myers, Fla.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Henry and Beverly Wilcox of New Caney, Texas; brothers-in-law, Wade Wilcox and wife Tomika of Goodrich, Texas, and Brandon Wilcox of Huffmar, Texas; eight nieces, four nephews, and three grand nieces. Dave is survived by his closest friends, Tom and Chris Lum and John Shortridge, and a large support network of friends and co-workers, especially his employer, Bill Tyrell, of Smith Ford.
At the family's request, there will be no public services.
