WHITNEY POINT – Stanley O. Morley, 94, formerly of Whitney Point, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 31, 2008, joining his wife, Verna, five sons, several grandchildren, two brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by six children: Barbara (Lewis) Pixley of Marathon, Gary (Natholie) Morley of North Pitcher, Richard (Nancy) Morley of Delhi, Carol (Clinton) Baldwin of Cortland, Madeline (Sheridan) Stone of South Plymouth and Rosemary (Leslie) Thornton of Homer; one daughter-in-law, Ellen Morley of Marathon; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren; one sister, Shirley Woodruff of Schenectady; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Stanley was a member of the Whitney Point United Methodist Church and was involved in many organizations.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday from the Whitney Point United Methodist Church. Rev. Ron Wenzinger will officiate. Burial will be in the Afton Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Whitney Point United Methodist Church on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Whitney Point United Methodist Church or a 4-H organization of your choice.
