NORTH NORWICH – Charles L. VanSteinburg, 62, of Sherburne Four Road, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, July 29, 2008.
He was born Feb. 7, 1946 in Norwich, a son of the late George and Anne Cole VanSteinburg. Charles was a graduate of Norwich High School and had served in the U.S. Navy. On Aug. 19, 1972, Charles married Rebecca Martin in Earlville. Mr. VanSteinburg had worked for Procter & Gamble in Norwich for over 38 years.
Surviving are his former wife, Rebecca Sabin of Sherburne; his children, Charles A. and Wendy VanSteinburg of Virginia Beach, Va.; Martin Van Steinburg, Raymond VanSteinburg, Alan VanSteinburg and Shannon Palmer, and Laureen VanSteinburg, all of Sherburne; William Van Steinburg and Noelle VanSteinburg, both of North Norwich; a sister and brother-in-law, Grace and Laverne Finch of Sidney; a brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Karen Sawyer of Philadelphia, PA; five grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to call at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne on Friday from 7-9 p.m.
Services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
