NEW BERLIN –  Everett William (Billy) Bowers, born Jan. 29, 1963, passed away on July 25, 2008. 
Billy is survived by his mother Joan Bowers-Fierthaler, his step-father George Fierthaler, his father Everett Bowers, his stepmother Maureen bowers, brother Robert Bowers, sisters Lauri Rumph and Valerie Bennett, and many nieces and nephews.  Billy was also blessed to have been in the care of the Crawford family, Lynn, Patricia, Keona, Joshua and Travis Gould.
 A service will be held at the Berean Baptist Church, 18 Genesee Street, New Berlin at 2 p.m. on Monday. Friends are invited to call at the church from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.
 In lieu of flowers, donations in remembrance of Billy may be made to the Otsego County ARC, PO Box 490, Oneonta, NY 13820; the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116; or the Association for Children with Downs Syndrome, 4 Fern Place, Plainview, NY 11803.
