NORWICH – Laura Ethel Holbert, 94, originally from Honesdale, Pa., died Monday, May 26, 2008, in the Chenango Memorial Hospital in Norwich. She was married to the late Harold Holbert, who died in 1976.
Laura was born in Berlin Township, Pa., the daughter of the late Willard J. and Elizabeth A. Perkin Warwich. She worked as a seamstress for Katz Underwear Factory. Laura was a member of Central United Methodist Church in Honesdale.
Laura is survived by two sons, David Holbert and his wife Noreen of Maryland and Gene Holbert and his wife Teresa of Maryland; a daughter, Ann E. Holbert of Norwich; four grandchildren, Tim Holbert of Virginia, Beth Holbert of Ohio, Brett Holbert of Maryland and Todd Holbert of Maryland.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Indian Orchard Cemetery, Honesdale, Pa. with the Reverend Mark Terwillger officiating. Arrangements are attended by the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home, 1228 Main Street, Honesdale, Pa.
