OXFORD – E. Jean Davis of Oxford passed away on May 20, 2008 at Chenango Memorial Residential Health Care Facility. 
She was born on Jan. 6, 1927 in Greene the daughter of the late Elmer and Florence Moorhead. On Nov. 19, 1944 she married Raymond C. Davis, who died on July 4, 2001.
She is survived by her son, Thomas Davis and Laura DeFeo of Oxford; her daughter, Peggy Davis of Endicott and her grandson and his fiancé, Bryan Davis and Carrie Harrington of Greene. 
Jean worked at the NYS Veterans’ Home for several years.  She and her husband operated J&R Grocery on Water Street in Oxford for many years.
Private services will be held in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Norwich with the Rev. Allen C. Lang, pastor of the United Church of Oxford officiating.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Behe Funeral Home Inc., 21 Main Street, Oxford.
