OXFORD – Heather C. Pruskowski, 35, of Ryan Road, Oxford, passed away unexpectedly on May 10, 2008 at her home. 
She was born on Oct. 14, 1972 in Sidney the daughter of Patrick and Sandra (Opal) Ryan. On Aug. 19, 1995 in the Guilford United Methodist Church, she married John P. Pruskowski.
She is survived by her husband, John of Oxford; her children, Jared Pruskowski, Julian Pruskowski, and Sage Pruskowski; her parents, Patrick and Sandra Ryan all of Oxford; her sisters, Kelly Ryan of Harwood, Maryland and Jessica Ryan of Norwalk, Connecticut; her mother-in-law, Barbara and George Yanik of Bainbridge, and her father-in-law, Joseph and Sharon Pruskowski of Redmond, Washington, her grandfather-in-law, Joseph Pruskowski of Oxford; and her brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Justin Pruskowski and Erin O’Connell of Redmond, Washington and George Yanik of Edison, New Jersey and several aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces and nephews.
Heather graduated from Bainbridge-Guilford High School in 1990 and attended Binghamton University before graduating from Oswego State University in 1994.  She earned her master’s degree from SUNY Oneonta.
She taught school in Franklin for thee years prior to moving to Sidney Central School where she taught English and reading. She was very devoted to her family as they were the most important thing in her life. She loved the outdoors and reading.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the United Church of Oxford, Main Street, with the Rev. John Koopman officiating.
Friends may call at the Behe Funeral Home, Oxford, on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m.
