Pauline Bradt


OXFORD – Pauline “Polly” Bradt, of Oxford passed away unexpectedly on July 30, 2006 at William Backus Hospital, Norwich, Conn. 
She was born on Sept. 3, 1924 in Dudley, Mass., the daughter of the late Felix and Marie Louise (Duseaume) Caplette.  On Dec. 17, 1955 she married Hoppy (Dwight) Bradt, who survives.
 Besides her husband, Hoppy, she is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and John Anderson of Hampton Beach, N.H. and Bonny and William Fowler of Plainfield, Conn.; her grandchildren, who were the light of her life, Carrie and David Anderson and Britny and William Fowler; her brother, Robert Caplette of Webster, Mass.; her sister, Christine O’Mally of Virginia and her sister in law and brother in law, Leda and Marty Eaton. Eleven brothers and sisters predeceased her.
 Polly was a very loving and caring grandmother. She had worked in the restaurant business in Oxford and in the dietary department of Chenango Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed cooking and baking as well as gardening.
 Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Behe Funeral Home, 21 Main St., Oxford with the Rev. Allen C. Lang, pastor of the United Church of Oxford officiating.  Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Oxford.
Friends may call at the Behe Funeral Home, Oxford on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Chenango County SPCA, the American Diabetes Assn. or the American Cancer Society.
