NORWICH – LeRoy Burlison passed from this life at peace on July 24, 2006 at home on his beloved Tiffany Hill Farm, with Paula and Beth beside him. Roy will forever be with his wife, Paula, children Bill (Lacy), Lisa (Frank), and Wayne (Lisa); stepchildren Jesse and Charlotte, grandchildren Jason, Erica, Zach, Colin, Paden, Ethan, and the shining light of his life, Amber; great-granddaughter Raven who came at the end to help Roy travel on; brother Fred, sisters Carol, Pat, and Pam, and very special Uncle Smoke and cousin Doug. Also surviving are step-grandchildren, many, many nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as “Mom” Mabel, first wife Beth, “Daughter” Pam, stepdad Ron (Jan), and lifelong friend Alan.
Roy retired in 1982 after 20 years in the Air Force, and retired again in 2004 after 20 plus years with the Norwich City Schools, to work at the job he loved most, caring for Amber and the farm.
Roy will be remembered as a man with the heart of a lion and the soul of a lamb, willing to help anyone in need, never shying away from hard work and never leaving anything half-finished.
At Roy’s request, there will be a private family service and a large Remembrance pig roast on Aug. 5 at 3 p.m. at Tiffany Hill Farm. It was Roy’s wish that all who knew him would come and celebrate in his honor.
