Florence Pashley


SHERBURNE – Florence Anna Pashley, 86, of Route 12, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2006 at her home.
Florence was born Oct. 6, 1919 in the Town of Glen, Montgomery County, the daughter of Richard and Bertha Snyder Anderson. She was raised by her aunt and uncle, Bertha and Cecil Clute, after her mother passed away when she was only 18 months old. She was a graduate of Fultonville High School in 1938. On Sept. 23, 1967, Florence married Elmer Pashley in Cazenovia. He predeceased her in April 1988. Mrs. Pashley had lived in Tribes Hill prior to moving to Sherburne following her marriage. She had worked for 20 years at Scatsmoore Knitting Mill in Johnstown, and for six years at Templeton of Fonda. When she came to Sherburne, she owned and operated a ceramic shop, the Klay Koop Studio. She was a member of the United Church of Christ in Sherburne.
Surviving are a half-brother, Everett Anderson of Fonda; and two half-sisters, Betty Youngs of Utica and Dorothy Anthony of Hudson Falls; a niece, several nephews and cousins, and many friends. She was predeceased by two brothers, Kenneth and Ambrose Anderson, and two sisters, Lucy Blackwood and Thelma Woodbeck.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 South Main St., Sherburne.
Interment will be in the Maple Avenue Cemetery, Fultonville, at 11 a.m. Saturday.
Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Friday from 5-7 p.m. prior to the service.
