Chad Baker


MORRIS – Chad Joseph Baker, 37, of Bourne Hill Road, Morris, died suddenly on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2008, at home.
He was born on May 27, 1970 in Johnstown, the son of Donald Baker and Betsy Pamkowski. Mr. Baker was a graduate of Canajoharie Central School, Class of 1988. He then earned an Associate’s Degree from Hudson Valley Community College.
Mr. Baker was employed as a load planning coordinator for Mead Westvaco Corp. in Sidney. Chad has resided in Morris for the past three years, previously residing in Syracuse.
He was of Lutheran faith.
Mr. Baker was a coach for Little League Baseball and Pop Warner Football in Morris. He enjoyed hunting, golf, and softball.
Chad married Tammy Yacobucci on Aug.20, 1994 in Canajoharie.
Chad is survived by his wife Tammy K. Baker of Morris; his children, Joshua, Jordan, and Sydni Baker of Morris. He is also survived by his mother and father, Donald and Betsy Pamkowski Baker of Canajoharie; his brothers, Nick Baker of Plymouth, Mass. and Alex Baker of Fort Myers, Fla. as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Chapel of Houghtaling & Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 20 Otsego St., Canajoharie, NY 13317 with Rev. Gail Wolling officiating. The family will receive friends and relatives from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a special account for Chad J. Baker’s Children at NBT Bank, 24 Church St., Canajoharie, NY 13317.
