Arnold Werlau


NORWICH – Arnold Jon Werlau, 87 of Norwich, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2006 at Chenango Memorial Hospital, Norwich.
He was predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Myrtle (Quick) Welau; his sister, Verna Bice and brother-in-law, Harry and his first wife and mother of his children, Elizabeth Willard.
Arnold is survived by one son, Gary Werlau and his wife Susan of Williamsburg, Va.; one daughter, Carol Moore and husband, Bruce, of Fort Worth, Texas and his second wife, Myrtie of Norwich. He is also survived by two sisters, Thelma and husband Lyle Woodard of New Berlin and Theda and husband Robert Conway of Unadilla; five grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
Arnold served in the United States Army from 1941 - 1946 which included service in the European Theatre in England, France and Germany during WWII. After his years in the military, he lived in New Jersey where he ran Arnold’s Printing Company.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the Dakin Funeral Home LP, New Berlin. The Reverend Robert Conway will officiate. Calling hours will be held from 2 - 3 p.m. on Wednesday prior to the funeral service. Interment will be in the St. Andrew’s Cemetery, New Berlin.
