GEORGETOWN – Karl E. Fox Sr., 84, of Route 80, Georgetown, passed away Friday, Jan. 25, 2008 at his home.
 He was born in Smyrna on March 3, 1923 a son of the late Delancey and Martha Stearns Fox. A life long area resident he received his education in local schools. He was married to the former Elizabeth “Betty” Lundy who predeceased him in 2004.  Karl was a farmer as well as a mechanic for Corenco Corp., Syracuse until his retirement. Following his retirement he continued to work part time as a mechanic at his home. He enjoyed bowling, camping and his chewing tobacco, most of all.
Surviving are his children Karl, Jr. and Shirley Fox of Homer; Robert, Sr. and Shirley Fox of San Antonio, Texas; Douglas, Sr. and Lisa Fox of Ithaca; Kevin Fox, Sr. of  Cortland and Lettie and Victor Pettit of Norwich. Also surviving are a brother and sister-in-law Floyd and Gloria Fox of Otselic; a sister and brother-in-law Ethel and George Sutton of DeRuyter; twelve grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sons Kenneth and Glenn Fox; a daughter Susan Fox; a grandson Victor Pettit and three brothers George, Howard and Nelson Fox.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday from the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home 3 Preston St. Earlville. Interment will be held in the spring in Maple Grove Cemetery, Otselic.
