Emily Barker


NEW BERLIN – Emily Barker of South Carolina went to be with her Lord on Jan. 15, 2008 after a long illness.
She was born Dec. 26, 1954. She was predeceased by her father Clifford Eccleston, her mother Dora Horne and her beloved daughter, Amy Lynn.
She is survived by her husband Barry Barker of 18 years from New Berlin and her daughter Mindy Brown and future husband Travis Drexler from Boiling Springs, S.C. She is also survived by her step-son Jason Barker and wife Beckie Barker, her step-daughter Katie Jennings and husband Lance Jennings, her step-daughter Kari Quitter and husband Mike Quitter, her step-son Brandon Barker and step-daughter Karolyn Barker. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren Nathan, Tyler, Kali and Jessica. She is also survived by two brothers, three sisters and step-brothers, step-sisters and many more family members.
Emily loved to gamble when it came to gambling she was one of the luckiest people you would ever meet. She loved to spend time with her family and she loved animals. When she was not spending her time with the people she loved, she spent her time at the casino gambling and playing bingo.
Emily was known as Em or Em Bones. She recently relocated to Boiling Springs, S.C. with her daughter and her daughter’s future husband, it was always Emily’s dream to live in South Carolina and to be happy.
We will miss you Em Bones, you were the best wife, mother, step-mother and grandmother that anyone could ever ask for. If tears could build a stairway we would walk right up to heaven and bring you home. God Bless and we love you. Love always, your beloved family.
There will be no services for Emily as per her wish; she will be cremated and remain with her daughter Mindy.
