Cleo Campman


OXFORD – Cleo E. Campman, 71, of North Washington Avenue, Oxford, passed away on July 15, 2006 at Chenango Memorial Hospital, Norwich. 
She was born on Feb. 15, 1935 in Norwich, the daughter of the late Roscoe and Emily (Miner) Diamond.
She is survived by her sons and daughters in law, Donald and Andrea Green of Milton, Fla. and Paul and Brooke Ehly of Oxford; her grandchildren, Christopher Zenker, Ashley Parish, Stephen Ehly, Raigen Ehly and Ethan Ehly; her great granddaughter, Kelci Parish and her sisters, Rosalie Skidmore of Covington, Ga., Bedelia Crapo of Homer, Sandra Jones of Unadilla, Mona Diamond of Cortland and Lisa Towndrow of Oxford. Several nieces and nephews also survive.  Her daughter Diana Zenker, her brothers Bradford Diamond and James Diamond and her sisters Pricilla Diamond and Fay Molnari, predeceased her.
Cleo was a very loving mother and grandmother and a caring person. She graduated from Oxford Academy and Central School in 1952 and the Binghamton State Hospital School of Nursing in 1955. She was a registered nurse retiring from Chenango Memorial Hospital. She was a very active member of the Oxford Fire Department Auxiliary. She was a charter member and past president of the VFW Auxiliary in Milton, Fla. and was also a past president of the Auxiliary Fleet Reserve Assn. in Milton, Fla.  She was a member of the United Church of Oxford and the Oxford Community Ladies Club. She enjoyed bowling.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Behe Funeral Home, 21 Main St. Oxford with the Rev. Allen C. Lang, pastor of her church officiating.  Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Oxford.
Friends may call at the Behe Funeral Home, Oxford on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Oxford Fire Department Auxiliary.
