NORWICH – Funeral services for Jennie Arria were held on Monday, Dec. 10, 2007 at St. Bartholomew’s Church where Rev. Douglas Cunningham, pastor, celebrated a Mass of Resurrection.
Mass began with Jennie’s children, Joseph and John Arria and Sandra Thompson, placing the baptismal pall upon the casket. Courtney Arria proclaimed the readings and also presented the offertory gifts along with Mike, Jen, Mark and Nathan. Sister Jackie served as Eucharistic Minister. Susan Ticknor was the organist and Bertha DeFonzo was the vocalist. George Zieno was the altar server.
Prior to Mass, Carol Delaney and Mary Coe led members of the Rosary Society in the recitation of the rosary.
Burial will take place in the spring in St. Paul’s Cemetery. The arrangements were conducted by the Wilson Funeral Home.
