OXFORD – Sara Newbauer Spyratos, 62, of Oxford, passed away unexpectedly on Dec. 5, 2007 at Binghamton General Hospital. 
She was born on June 4, 1945 in Jersey City, N.J., the daughter of Peter and Sophie (Babbish) Newbauer. On Aug. 14, 1962 she married Spyro Spyratos, who survives.
Besides her husband, Spyro; she is survived by children, Jerry and Tina Spyratos and Bill Spyratos of Oxford, and Jim and Wendy Spyratos of Virginia; her parents, Peter and Mildred Newbauer; her grandchildren, Spyro, Helen, Britany, Demetrios, and Sophia; her brothers and sisters, Peggy and Ray Fincke, Peter and Jackie Newbauer, Karen and Joe Hansen, Mike Newbauer, Ray and Jen Newbauer, Carol and Dave McMahon, Patty and Dave Stade, and Mildred Wall. She was predeceased by her sister Sandy Anzano.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Behe Funeral Home, 21 Main St., Oxford. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Oxford.
Friends may call at the Behe Funeral Home, Oxford on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
