Ida Wilcox


SOUTH OTSELIC – Ida “Della” Adella Wilcox, 86, of South Otselic, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 29, 2007, at Crouse Hospital, Syracuse.
 Della was born in North Pitcher on June 26, 1921, a daughter of the late Julius and Norma Matthews Grewe. A lifelong resident of the area, she retired from Norwich Mills after several years of dedicated service.  Prior to its closing, she was a member of the North Pitcher Church. She enjoyed knitting and sewing and had made several sweaters over the years for many different people.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Leland “Lee” Wilcox of South Otselic; sisters, Doris Sayles of East Pharsalia and Virginia Burch of Dundee; and a brother, John (Naomi) Grewe of Norwich. She is also survived by several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services were held today at 1 p.m. at the K.L. Sharp Funeral Home, Cincinnatus, with burial in North Pitcher Cemetery.
