SIDNEY — The Unadilla Valley/GMU boys’ soccer team earned the seventh seed in the MAC playoffs, where they faced off against sixth seeded Sidney. UV/GMU came away with a close 3-2 win on Tuesday.

It was 1-0 UV/GMU at halftime with one goal from Julius Smith before the team added on in the second half.

Hunter Barnes netted one within the opening five minutes of the second half while Smith had another goal halfway through off an assist from Fraser MacDonald.

Nick Crandall made 12 saves in goal in the close win.

UV/GMU takes on Walton/Downsville in the final game of the 2026 season.
