GILBERTSVILLE — Butternut Valley Grange presents a Meet the Candidate Night, open to the public, at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, at 7 Bloom St.
Confirmed attendees, at press time, include both candidates for Assembly, Joseph Angelino and Vicki Davis; candidate for Otsego County sheriff Mike Stalter; and both candidates for county representative for District 2, which includes Butternuts, Morris and Pittsfield, Jason Cianciotta and James Powers.
Michele Frazier, candidate for Senate, has a prior commitment but is sending a video message. All candidates running for local office will also be introduced.
The event will provide voters with information as they prepare to submit their ballots or vote on Election Day, Nov. 3.
The Grange will host trick-or-treaters when the community celebrates Halloween at the front entrance to the Grange Hall. Those who would like to assist with this project are asked to call Anna Ritchey at 563-1104 or Anne Sebeck at 783-2232.
Support for the Mitten & Hat Tree project, to be held at the local library during the upcoming months, will also be included in the Grange’s fall projects.
The next regular Grange meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 12, at the Grange Hall. Greeters for the evening are Marlene Brooks, Roger Halbert and Calvin Wilcox.
Delegates from Butternut Valley to the State Grange Session in Waterloo, which starts Oct. 16, are Lynne Porter, Cathy Galley, Laura Palada and Calvin Wilcox.
