OXFORD — Binghamton-based Simmerin' Stew will share its eclectic fusion of bluegrass, folk, jazz and American roots music at 6 On The Square in Oxford at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 3.

Band members include Adam Gulliford (fiddle and vocals), Ted Andrejko (upright bass), Nate Francisco (guitar and vocals) and Paul Koanui (banjo and vocals).

Their latest release, “Boiled Down,” is inspired by classic and contemporary old-time fiddle tunes, while their previous album, "Salt the Earth," has original compositions that explore a wide range of themes, from the complexities of love, happiness, deceit and murder to the existential struggles of the human condition.

In concert, Simmerin' Stew shares a mix of original tunes and alongside selections from the old-time music canon.s

On exhibit through November are paintings of people and places — real and imagined — by Afton artist Christopher L. Wright.

Wright attended the Pratt Institute in New York City, and his primary medium is oil paint. His work has been shown at several establishments in the region, such as the Main Street Bakery & Grill in Afton and Cyber Cafe West in Binghamton.

6 On The Square, Inc. is an intimate, not-for-profit, volunteer-based acoustic music listening room and arts venue located at 6 Lafayette Park in downtown Oxford.
