MORRISVILLE — The Sherburne-Earlville football team dropped to 1-3 on the season following a 46-22 loss to Morrisville-Eaton (3-1) on Saturday night.

The Timberwolves controlled the tempo early, jumping out to a 22-14 lead by halftime after outscoring the host team across the first two quarters (8-6 in the first, 16-8 in the second). However, Sherburne-Earlville was held scoreless in the second half, allowing Morrisville-Eaton to mount a comeback with 16 points in both the third and fourth quarters to secure the win.

Through the air, quarterback Jordan Palmer completed 6 of 12 passes for 126 yards and two touchdowns with zero interceptions.

Palmer led the ground attack with 140 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries. Trenton Anderson added 70 yards on 20 carries, while Bryce Bevalaqua rushed once for 4 yards, bringing the team's total rushing performance to 45 carries for 214 yards.

Receiving-wise, Bevalaqua pulled in four receptions for 76 yards and a touchdown. Jason Daring contributed a 41-yard touchdown catch, and Anderson added an 8-yard reception.

Looking to bounce back from its two-game skid, Sherburne-Earlville returns home this week to host Thousand Islands for its Homecoming matchup on Friday, Oct. 2, at 7 p.m.
