GREENE — The Greene/Oxford football team hosted Spencer Van Etten/Candor on Friday night for the 2026 home opener in Greene. The team picked up its first win of the season with a close 20-13 victory.

G-O put up scores in the first, second, and fourth quarters all from the ground with Eddie Ingraham rushing for three scores with 10 carries for 114 yards. Kicker Bodie Barrows made two of three extra points.

Ryder Hitt had a good ground game as well with a team-high 19 carries for 99 yards. David Dunckel rushed seven times for 11 yards and the team ran a total of 212 yards on offense.

Greene/Oxford (1-2) hosts Delhi on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Oxford High School.
