OWEGO— The Norwich Purple Tornado girls' tennis traveled to take on Owego on Wednesday returning home with a 6-1 victory.

Norwich took three out of four singles with Rori Gates earning two 6-1 sets, Finley Farrow winning a first set tiebreaker 7-4 and then breaking out with a 6-2 win in the second set to take the match.

Elle Waters won the fourth singles by forefit while Riley Wolford fell in two tough sets.

Norwich took all three doubles with two wins by forefit and a victory for Paulina He and Alice Boland.

He and Boland defeated their opponent 6-0 and 7-5.

Norwich (2-1) hosts Chenango Valley on Friday at 5:30 p.m. for homecoming.
