BAINBRIDGE— The Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats and Oxford Blackhawks volleyball teams battled into a five-set showdown on Monday night at B-G. Both teams played competitively with B-G taking the first set and the third but falling short in the fifth set 15-12 for Oxford to win 3-2.

Oxford’s Alexa Barrows led the team with 16 assists and four aces while Bridgette Foster had 13 kills, 13 digs, and 15 assists. Gabby Palmer added 11 digs as Reagan Long had 10 digs in the win.

B-G’s Alessandra Cafasso led the team with seven kills, eight digs, and six aces as teammate Abby Fitzgerald contributed with 12 assists and seven digs.

Oxford heads to Sidney on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. while B-G heads to Unatego on Wednesday at the same time.
