NEW BERLIN — The Unadilla Valley/GMU girls’ soccer team hosted non-league opponent Laurens on Monday afternoon. UV/GMU kicked off a five-game homestand and defeated Laurens 5-1. It was UV/GMU’s third game of the season after taking on Greene and Mount Markham.

Noelle Fernandez-Naughton led the team with a hat trick, netting in three goals while Madison Dix and Allisyn Daniell both scored one goal apiece. Dix also picked up an assist in the win.

UV/GMU (2-1) hosts Unatego/Franklin to resume MAC league play this afternoon at 4:30 p.m.
