NEW BERLIN— The Unadilla Valley volleyball team hosted Greene on Monday night with both teams getting a feel for MAC league play early in the season. Both teams played competitively and intense with Greene taking the first match 25-17 and UV taking the second match 25-20 to split the sets, forcing four sets either way. UV won the third set and took control 25-11 while Greene fought back tying up the fourth set but UV saw good serves from Shyla Roberts and Molly Pizzuto to pull away with the 25-20 victory.

Greene’s Molly Harris had good serves in the first set to give the Trojans a small run.

UV’s Jade Cook led the team with 25 assists and a block while MaKenzie Knuth led the team with 10 digs.

Shyla Roberts had a team-high 15 kills and eight aces while Cheyanna McMahon had five kills and two aces. Emily Vatovec added four kills as Logan Cook had two kills in the win.
