GREENE – On Friday night, the Greene Trojans field hockey team opened their 2026 season at home against Marathon. The Trojans earned a big 8-0 shutout victory.

Greene had a big night with 26 shots on goals and 11 corners. Halle Livingston led the team with five of the eight goals while Irelyn DeHaan scored two goals and an assist.

Rachel Anderson also had a goal in the win as Deirdre Colgan and Lily Davailus also earned assists.

Greene also played a strong defense, where the Trojans held Marathon to no shots on goal.

Greene (1-0) heads to Newark Valley on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
