OXFORD – Clayton Carlson led the way with 37 as Oxford edged out Bainbridge-Guilford, 224-233, in a boys golf matchup.

Carlson’s 37 was the low round of the day helping Oxford secure the team victory.

Uri Tracy followed with a 43, while Kevin Northop carded a 42. Alex Whyte and Cooper Cammday each finished with a 51, while Ethan Trombley rounded out Oxford’s golfers with a 65.

For Bainbridge-Guilford, Brazen Ives led the team with a 39. Frank Parsons followed with a 45, while Zane Holmes shot a 48 and Mason Acquisto finished with a 49. Kate Baciuska added a 52, while Cole Fleming recorded a 57.

Oxford is now 1-1 on the season and will head to Sidney on August 31 while Bainbridge-Guilford is 0-1 and will play away at Greene that same day.
