GUILFORD — History isn't just about dates in a textbook—it's about the real people who lived it. With America's 250th anniversary upon us, the public is invited to travel back in time and meet a soldier from the Continental Army.

On Tuesday, September 1st at 6 p.m., the historic former church at 124 County Road 36 will transform into a Revolutionary War encampment. Renowned presenter George Cummings will host “A Day in the Life of a Continental Soldier.”

Dressed in authentic period attire, Cummings will guide the audience through the gritty, fascinating realities of daily soldier life. You will see, learn about, and discover the exact tools and artifacts used to survive the war.

This vibrant, interactive evening is completely free of charge and open to everyone. Whether you are a lifelong history buff or looking for a fun, educational family night out, the doors are open wide to welcome you.
