EARLVILLE - The Earlville Opera House (EOH) announces an Artist Networking Event on Tuesday, September 15, 2026 from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m at the EOH. This event is designed as an opportunity for artists from across the Southern Tier and Central New York to meet and interact in a casual atmosphere. 


“We often hear from artists in our area that they have limited options for engaging with other creatives,” said Victoria Calvert Kappel, Grants Director at EOH.

“The ability to share their latest projects, as well as strategies for growing and thriving as professional artists, is incredibly important to their professional development. Previous networking events have been well received and we look forward to meeting old and new colleagues,” she said.

EOH Executive Director Michelle Connelly, adds “Individual artists are vital to our local economy because they function as entrepreneurs, create jobs, and act as an anchor for cultural economies that attract tourism and skilled workers, contributing over $151.1 billion dollars to the New York State economy annually. We are pleased to play our part in Chenango County and look forward to the continued growth of our local artistic community which helps to keep our communities vibrant and vital.”
 

This Artist Networking Event is part of a four-session series planned for 2026 and 2027 that will include Professional Development events for cultural organizations as well as more training and networking opportunities for artists.

The Earlville Opera House was founded in 1972 as a not-for-profit, volunteer-based, community service organization promoting the arts in a rural region of central New York by offering programs of cultural, educational, and historical significance; and preserving and restoring the architectural and historic integrity of the Earlville Opera House, a unique second-story theater constructed in 1892.

Earlville Opera House Arts Center is located at 18 East Main Street in the quaint Village of Earlville, NY. At EOH we believe accessibility and inclusion are critical to everything we do. Our historic Opera House has been upgraded to ensure accessibility throughout the building, including a hearing loop system in our 1892 theater provided by Hamilton Hearing LLC.
