Free entertainment during the Otsego County Fair in the Grange Building There is free entertainment at the Grange Building every day during the Otsego County Fair. On Thursday, August 6, The Sweet Adelines City of the Hills Chorus will entertain at 1:30 p.m. (Submitted photo)

MORRIS - Free entertainment will be hosted in the Grange Building located during the Otsego County Fair on the Fairgrounds starting the day before the fair opens through August 9. All these events are free and open to the public to attend.

A Hymn Sing will be held on Monday, August 3, (before the fair opens) at 7 p.m. in the Grange Building at the Otsego County Fair. The Women’s Community Chorus of Morris will entertain you with a piece from Sister Act along with other selections for those attending to enjoy. A variety of hymns will be sung by those attending along with other special musical numbers. If you would like to participate with a musical selection contact Laura Palada 607-783-2044.

The Morris United Church will have free water and snacks available during the hymn sing.

On Tuesday, August 4, the first day of the fair, at 6 p.m. the Jason Wicks Band will entertain. You can meet the fair directors and they will be presenting special awards to directors and others who have helped with the fair. Light refreshments will be served.

On Wednesday, August 5, The Harmonica Band will perform at 2 p.m., Judy Pitel sings a variety of popular songs and the Limitless Performing Arts Dance Studio will be preforming after the parade approximately at 8:30 p.m.

On Thursday, August 6, The Sweet Adelines City of the Hills Chorus will entertain at 1:30 p.m. At 5 p.m. the Otsego School of Dance will be performing excerpts from the Recital of “Legends, Villains and Superheroes” under direction of Teri Velardi.

Friday, August 7 is Senior Day and Mary Frances Perricone will be performing a variety of songs of 50s through the 70s at 2:30 p.m.

The Baby Crawl and Toddler Walk contest will be held on Saturday, August 8, beginning at noon. Registration is required either prior to Saturday or there is signup on the day of show by 11:30 a.m. at the Grange Building. Any baby crawling or walkers up to age 36 months are invited to participate in the free contest. Cash prizes for first, second and third place of $10, $7, and $5. During the week the Otsego County Pomona Grange has milk, water, ice cream sandwiches and frozen bananas available, with sales helping to provide the entertainment in the Grange Building each year.
