BAINBRIDGE —  The Bainbridge Farm and Artisan Market welcomes the community to join in a unique shopping experience, from 4 to 7 p.m., every Friday, located at 5 Prospect Street in Bainbridge.

“We will have loads of fresh produce, woodworking, crafts, art, pottery, baked goods, skin care, fresh lemonade, house plants, and more,” said Bainbridge Farm and Artisan Market Manager Samantha Frederick.

This week, vendors include Davis Acres, A ClayCookie for your Garden, Bobs Boxes, Black Oak Farm, Wilcox Maple and More, Pies by Terri, Glistening Water, Dreadknot Woodshop, Sonneda Homestead, The Lazy Daisy, The Dripping Lemons, and Serenity Acres.

Thomas Hall will provide music on the electric piano.

Frederick said the market has a little bit of everything, in an effort to make it a one stop shop for all occasions.

“By bringing all of these amazing items under one roof, we are trying to help bring growth to the community,” she said.

“We’re making big box stores a little less necessary where we can, and helping small businesses grow, in an attempt to make our own self sustaining ecosystem of sorts,” Frederick added.

She said they’re still looking for a food truck this week and hope to find one in the next few days.

Previously known as The Bainbridge Farmers’ Market, they changed their name to The Bainbridge Farm and Artisan Market in March of this year.

Frederick noted the reason behind the name change was to bring awareness to the community the market was not only farmers and produce, but crafters, bakers, homesteaders, and artisans.

She said the best part of market night for her is seeing the visitors enjoying their community of friends and neighbors, comfortable to walk around and shop, and having dinner together.

Frederick said they also host a variety of small demonstrations throughout the year and community clubs or organizations are always welcome to volunteer their time to share in the demonstrations.
