NEW BERLIN —The Unadilla Valley Storm PONY league baseball team finished second in the B division of the 2026 Otsenango PONY league after a 20-3 loss to Cooperstown in the quarterfinal game.
The Storm took a 3-1 lead at the bottom of the first before falling behind after the third inning. UV got on the board when the Storm loaded the bases with two walks and a hit by pitch.
An error brought in two runs before the second out. Jake Favinger kept the inning going with a two-out single to reload the bases and then Cash Osborne walked to bring in a run.
UV was held to the one hit while also reaching base on seven walks with Cash leading the team with two walks.
Teagin Eccleston led the team with three and two third innings on the mound, allowing five earned runs on six hits, six walks, and five strikeouts.
Nick Crandall, Paul Ruffles, and Cash Osborne also worked on the mound to close out the summer season.
