NEW BERLIN— The Unadilla Valley Storm Pony league team hosted the Oneonta Jr. Outlaws on Monday night, where the Storm came away with a 3-1 victory.
Down 1-0, the Storm tied the game in the bottom of the fifth as Cash Osborne was hit by the pitch with one out, advanced on wild pitches before scoring on an error.
UV took the lead in the bottom of the sixth with two runs. Kasen Cox reached on an error as Urijah Drake reached on a hit by pitch and Paul Ruffles walked to load the bases with no outs.
Nick Crandall drove in a pair with a single to center field to help win the game.
Crandall also led the team with going two-for-three and stole two bases in the win.
He also started on the mound for UV, going an inning and a third, allowing one earned run on no hits, four walks, and a strikeout. Teagin Eccleston earned the win, going five and two thirds, allowing just one hit, two walks, and struck out seven batters.
UV (2-3) hosts Norwich in a doubleheader on Thursday evening, starting at 5 p.m.
