OXFORD— The Oxford Blackhawks PONY league team earned their first win of the 2026 summer season after defeating Unatego at home 2-1 in walk-off fashion.
Unatego took a 1-0 lead after a scoreless first inning and from there, it was a pitchers’ duel until Oxford scored the tying run and the game-winning run in the bottom of the seventh to win it.
Both runs came on RBI doubles by Uri Tracy and Blake Barrows.
Tracy, Barrows, and Evan Johnson had the only hits for Oxford in the win.
Tracy got the start on the mound, going six solid innings, allowing just the one unearned run on six hits, two walks, and eight strikeouts.
Josh Knapp worked a clean seventh inning to set his team up for the walk-off in the bottom half of the inning. It only took Knapp nine pitches to get through the inning as well with six total strikes.
