COOPERSTOWN— The Bainbridge Bolts PONY league team traveled to take on Cooperstown at Doubleday on Tuesday, falling 14-0 to the tough Hawkeyes team.
Cooperstown took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second before a big 12-run inning in the third and added one additional run in the fifth.
The Bolts had four hits in the game by Anthony Cafasso, Mason Acquisto, Camren Cuozzo, and Micah Casey.
Bainbridge also used five pitchers in the game with Acquisto starting, going an inning and two thirds, allowing one earned run on two hits, no walks, and two strikeouts. Brayden Wehrli, Micah Casey, Frankie Parsons, and Anthony Cafasso pitched in relief, combining for 13 runs (12 earned) on five hits, 14 walks, and six strikeouts.
Bainbridge (0-3) heads to Delhi this evening at 6 p.m.
