ENDICOTT— On June 3 and 4, the two-day Section IV State Qualifiers meet was held at Union-Endicott High School, where Chenango County was well-represented. Athletes from Bainbridge-Guilford, the Section IV, Class D girls’ championship team and the boys as runner up, were in attendance, along with Harpursville/Afton, Norwich, Oxford-Greene, and Unadilla Valley.

The 2026 NYSPHSAA outdoor track and field championships will be held on June 13 and 14 at Webster Schroeder High School in Webster, NY. Good luck to all those who qualified in our local area.

Girls’ Track:

Congratulations to the girls’ 4x100 relay team of Brenna George, Madisyn Larsen, Jayslin Henderson, and Keelan Ammon on breaking the school record with a time of 51.83 seconds for fourth place.

Also, great job to Marissa Mayo, Tori Suda, Laila Williams, Maddie Ingham, Keelan Ammon, and Madisyn Larsen on placing in the top six overall in Section IV overall in their events.

Laila Williams earned a fourth place finish in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 16.56 seconds.

Eighth grader Madisyn Larsen took second in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:07.27, but missed hitting the qualifying time.

Maddie Ingham took fifth in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:28.33 as Keelan Ammon came in sixth place in the 200 meter dash with a time of 27.57 seconds.
